Goals

Set a target. See the gap. Close it.

You may already set goals: 80% of guests reviewing, 4.8 stars on every cabin, $400,000 by December. Slipstream already measures these numbers: set a target and see, in plain units, how far off you are, what’s pulling it down, and what to do today.

One goal, read in six parts

A co-host posted this goal in public: get 80% of guests to leave a review. Every goal in Slipstream reads the same way, as a bullet chart: a bar for where you are, a tick for where you’re going, and around it, everything you need to act.

The reading

The bar is where the number stands now: 44 of 62 stays reviewed. The count is always shown, because 71% of 62 means more than 71% of 7.

Built on the recipes you already run

A goal is a target on a number a recipe already gives, so any recipe can carry one, including the ones you build.

The target is yours

We show your own trailing number and your portfolio's, for reference. We never fill in the goal.

The count is always shown

A rate comes with the stays behind it. Below 10, the reading says “Too few” and claims nothing.

No projections from rates

A rolling rate can't honestly be extrapolated. Totals by a date show what's earned and what's on the books, not a forecast.

Where, not why

A split shows where a number is lost. Why is a hypothesis you test, and a logged change is scored only on what comes after it.
