Connecting your account
Connect OwnerRez to Slipstream
It takes about a minute. You approve the connection on OwnerRez's own sign-in page — Slipstream never sees your OwnerRez password.
Ready to go? Open Settings and use Property management system → Connect via OAuth.
Open SettingsYou'll be asked to sign in to Slipstream first if you aren't already. Connecting is an admin action, so it has to be someone with admin access on your Slipstream account. Make sure OwnerRez is selected as your platform before you connect.
What happens, step by step
Start from your setup email — or from Settings
The quickest way: open the setup email we sent when you signed up (subject “One more step — connect your OwnerRez account”) and click Connect OwnerRez. It drops you on the right panel already expanded, so there is nothing to find.
Can't find the email? Check spam, or just use the button above. In Slipstream that is Settings → Property management system: choose OwnerRez, then Connect via OAuth.
Approve on OwnerRez
We hand you to OwnerRez's own sign-in page. Sign in there as you normally would and approve the connection. Your password is entered on OwnerRez's site and never passes through Slipstream.
OwnerRez connections use OAuth only — there is no API key to generate or paste.
We import your portfolio
You land back in Slipstream and the first sync starts on its own: your properties, your full booking history, and — because OwnerRez reports them — the contracted owner split and commission terms for each property. A large portfolio takes a few minutes.
Your dashboard fills in
Occupancy, rates and booking pace appear as soon as the reservations land. Guest reviews arrive shortly after — OwnerRez doesn't push those to us, so we collect them on our own schedule rather than instantly.
One thing to know: listing content is a separate permission
OwnerRez keeps amenities, descriptions and photos behind an additional permission that has to be enabled for your account. Properties, bookings and owner terms all sync without it — but if that permission isn't in place, amenity-driven features look empty rather than wrong.
Slipstream detects this and says so directly: your Health page will show “Listing content isn't reaching us” on the OwnerRez row rather than leaving you to wonder. To enable it, contact OwnerRez at partnerhelp@ownerrez.com and ask for listings access for your Slipstream integration.
What Slipstream can and can't do with the connection
- We read, we don't write. Slipstream pulls properties, bookings, owner terms and reviews out of OwnerRez. It does not change your listings, message guests, or alter your calendar.
- Your password stays with OwnerRez. The connection is an authorization you grant on their site, and you can revoke it from OwnerRez at any time.
- Amenity checks work differently here. OwnerRez records amenities as free text rather than a fixed list, so Slipstream won't claim your listing contradicts your amenities — it can't tell “no hot tub” from “hot tub not mentioned”, and would rather say nothing than guess. It still reads your listing text to find amenities worth adding.
- You can disconnect here. Settings has a Disconnect control. Data already imported stays in your Slipstream account until you delete it.
If something goes wrong
- You landed back on Settings with an error
- Start the connection again — a consent screen that sits open too long expires. If it fails a second time, tell us what the message said.
- Properties arrived, but no amenities, descriptions or photos
- That's the listings permission above, not a failed connection. Nothing is wrong with your account — OwnerRez just hasn't enabled that part for it yet.
- You were asked for an API key
- You shouldn't be — OwnerRez connects by OAuth only. If Settings is offering a token field, the platform selector is probably still set to a different system.
- You use Hospitable instead
- Here are the steps for Hospitable. Pick your platform in Settings before connecting.
